Miao Anyun: I Can Feel the Malice From the World

After returning to the makeup room and changing his clothes, Miao Anyun simply felt relieved. Acting as a woman or whatever, the pressure was too great.

It would soon be time for his piano solo, so he just directly changed into a black tuxedo.

A narrow collar, cotton clothing with a single row of buttons, a matching silk belt, shirt, and bowtie. This custom-made tuxedo set needed only a single glance for others to feel that he looked very high-end (a rich family’s child).

Miao Anyun always felt that the eyes that the makeup sis who did his makeup (the same spicy sis as before) used to look at him seemed a bit off (understandable).

While he waited in the dressing room, his cousin, Yu Caishan, came to see him.

“How are Little Yun’s preparations going~?” Yu Caishan looked like she was in a very good mood. She was all smiles as she walked in.

“Well, there aren’t any problems.” Miao Anyun nodded indifferently. He was clad in a tuxedo, and was both graceful and aloof, like a European noble from the Middle Ages.

“Oh, Little Yun, I heard that your class is putting on a stage play?” Yu Caishan’s tender smile seemed to give off a subtle feeling at that moment. It seemed to be a little two-faced?

By the side, the makeup sis also quietly perked up her ears and observed her goddess’s (?) expression.

Stage play… Miao Anyun stiffly turned his head to look at Yu Caishan. What graceful and aloof, what noble and elegant from before; they all seemed to just be a misconception that completely dispersed like the wind.

“The Snow White from the play “Snow White” looks really beautiful, don’t you agree~?” Yu Caishan watched her cousin, whose entire body had gone stiff, with a smile. The smile was teasing, and seemed to have some kind of meaning.

Critical hit! Miao Anyun stiffly nodded his head when he suddenly heard an announcement telling him to prepare to perform. “It’s my turn now, so I’ll leave first.” Miao Anyun’s tone seemed just as indifferent as before (but was it really?) as he escaped at lightning speed.

Yu Caishan watched him from the back as he fled in defeat. This beauty, who was usually the textbook definition of dignity and grace, abandoned her image for the first time, clutching at her stomach as she laughed until she nearly couldn’t breathe.

By the time Miao Anyun, who had fled in defeat, stood on the stage, he had already adjusted his mindset. At this moment, he was completely at peace with himself. No matter what fraudulent things had happened before, he wouldn’t let it affect his performance. This was a performer’s most basic principle.

Miao Anyun sat in front of the piano and took a deep breath. Then, he started his song—— “Wandering in the Rain”.

It was also very normal below stage——

“Male god is super handsome today!”

“A tuxedo, super handsome! Lick lick lick!”

  “Marry me, male god!”…

As a result, Miao Anyun’s tight nerves also slowly relaxed, and he became even more absorbed in playing piano.

Unfortunately, he had relaxed too soon.

#The world smiled slightly towards him#

It was unknown who started it, but from the mass of kneeling obsessed fans licking their male god, a discordant voice arose——

“Huh? How come the more I watch, the more I feel male god looks like that sis who acted Snow White from before? Is it just me?”

Then, the atmosphere below stage completely changed.

  “It’s not just you!”

  ……

“It’s said that male god is from the second year’s class A, right? That “Snow White” play also seems to be by the second year’s class A??? OMG, I seem to have discovered something amazing?!!!”

  “I suddenly understand something +1…”

  “Too horrible to contemplate+10086…”

  ……

  Onstage

The sharp-eared Miao Anyun received just as much of a fright. One of his hands trembled and he nearly pressed the wrong key.

Did you guys know that you talk so loudly? I heard all of it!

And so, during the performance, the focus of attention below stage turned from “Male god is so handsome” and “This song sounds super good” to “Male god = Snow White, I seem to know something” and “Love rival = Goddess, I don’t even know where to start when faced with that face anymore, what should I do”.

Miao Anyun was speechless. “…Didn’t we agree to not bring up this matter?”

#Who came to an agreement with you#

#Author affectionately stroked his doge head#

#Miao Anyun didn’t return those sentiments. he even smashed a brick at the author#

  ————————

Miao Anyun, who was nearly played broken (hm?) by the author, managed to hold up until the evening dance.

Then, he suddenly discovered, the world’s malice did not seem to have ended.

  Main Entrance

“Little Yun, dance with me~”→Today, Miao Anyun’s eyes had been filled all day with Lin Haoyan, who was acting weirdly

“You want to dance the female part?” Miao Anyun opened with some malice, tilting his head at Lin Haoyan as he crossed his arms.

“Huh?” Lin Haoyan childishly blinked his eyes, looking endearingly silly, as if he hadn’t yet reacted to the malice from his sweetheart. However, he acted like this inside——

Hehehe, Wife just flirted with me╰(°▽°)╯

Don’t start celebrating victory yet, who’s flirting with you →_→ You’re sick in the head, you have to get treatment!

When Miao Anyun saw that Lin Haoyan seemed to have been crushed by his evil intentions (he wasn’t actually), Miao Anyun walked past him with satisfaction and entered the lobby.

The warm yellow lights cast a vague halo, brightening the whole lobby. The floor was completely made of white marble and the room was exquisitely decorated in a Baroque style. The entire lobby seemed very sumptuous and extremely gorgeous.

The students who had all been wearing school uniforms in the morning had already changed to their grand formal attire, dazzling people’s eyes. Not a single design was repeated (it has to be like that); clearly, these were all luxury goods that were specially custom-made.

There were some long tables at the center of the dance floor. On them were candles, champagne, and some exquisite pastries. There were also some leather sofas for people to rest on. At this point一一I won’t say more than is necessary.

Walking straight over was Godzilla1 (huh?) School’s Xia Youyou. Xia Youyou was dressed in a little goose-yellow evening gown today. She seemed especially lovable as she walked over to Miao Anyun with a glass of champagne in her hand.

“Miao Anyun, the clothes you’re wearing today make you look like a dog!” As soon as those words left her mouth, Xia Youyou wanted to slap herself. She stretched out an Erkang hand!! Brother Yun, I can explain, listen to my explanation!!! I wanted to say that you were extremely handsome today, please believe me, look at my sincere eyes QWQ

Miao Anyun was wearing a silver gray suit. He indeed looked incredibly dashing. Right now, he was leaning against the wall, exuding even more of an indescribable indolence than usual. He looked like a Persian cat of noble descent, aloof and haughty.

However, Miao Anyun expressed that the signal here wasn’t good, so he didn’t actually receive her signal. He smiled (!?) and said, “You too.”

Xia Youyou couldn’t help but nod her head, intoxicated by her Brother Yun’s rarely seen tender (?) smile. Then, she seemed to have suddenly come back to her senses——“Miao Anyun, who are you saying looks like a dog!”

Wasn’t this what you yourself said!

“Whoever chooses to put herself in that role is who I’m talking about~” Miao Anyun replied flatly as he crossed his arms, unruffled. His last syllable had a lilt, carrying a profound malice in it.

#Today’s Miaomiao is really devious, is it because he’s been played broken#

#Miaomiao, did you know your character setting has collapsed#

The poor female lead Xia Youyou was once again driven to the point of hopping with anger by her male god.[candle][candle][candle]Though, who asked her to have such a cheap mouth (:зゝ∠)

Xia Youyou, who had been full of anger, suddenly stopped being angry, just because Miao Anyun said next to her ear with a slightly indulgent (it actually isn’t, okay!) tone, “Can I invite you to dance, beautiful young lady?”

Miao Anyun looked strangely at the completely unresponsive Xia Youyou. Then, he looked at the plot once again. There was no mistake. At this time, he was supposed to invite the female lead to dance. The hand he stretched out hung awkwardly in midair, and he was about to take it back.

Only then did Xia Youyou manage to react, suddenly placing her hand on Miao Anyun’s. Most likely feeling that her own expression looked impatient, she covered up her inner self and snorted coldly. “Hmph, this young lady is very happy today, so I’ll reluctantly dance a song with you!”

Then, arm in arm, they stepped onto the dance floor. Miao Anyun faintly felt that he had forgotten something. However, he quickly threw it to the back of his mind again…

#Miaomiao, you forgot the female supporting lead#

When Chu Yexuan, who had just been planning to step forward, saw this scene, her delicate nails dug deep into her palms, leaving five crescent marks exuding a faint fishy sweet smell. She didn’t seem to feel the pain as her clear, gleaming eyes turned darker.

Today, she had especially meticulously dressed herself up. She used an exquisite and elegant makeup look, with her black hair falling down to her shoulders and clipped back by only a white crystal hair clip. She also wore a simple and stylish white floor-length cheongsam that further reflected her shy and pure temperament.

What was it called again——Just like a bashful lotus that couldn’t stand the cold wind.

But now, everything had turned into a complete joke… Chu Yexuan lowered her head and desperately tried to endure. Heaven knew how much energy she spent to prevent tears from flowing out and ruining her exquisite makeup.

Holding back her tears, she looked at the two figures flying across the dance floor. Suddenly, she laughed and whispered softly in her heart…

Brother Anyun, didn’t you already promise me? Why are you dancing with that woman, then?

Did she confuse you… if she disappears, would you look at just me…

Everything will be fine as long as I kill her, right? I just have to… kill her!

Chu Yexuan’s originally extremely clear eyes seemed to have been stained by the very deep black of her heart’s malice, and the dense killing intent in her heart watered a giant flower of evil. As she watched Xia Youyou’s goose-yellow figure, the corners of her lips suddenly lifted into an extremely strange arc.

  …

The dance ended only very late into the night. Miao Anyun, who had also successfully completed the plot today (though because of Lin Haoyan, there was almost no possibility of completing it from the start), abandoned the female lead and irresponsibly went to browse through the vendors’ stalls with the supporting male lead Lin Haoyan.

After strolling for a while, the two suddenly saw fireworks signalling the end of the school celebration dragging their long tails across the dark night sky and blossoming with extremely brilliant colors.

“Let’s go back,” Miao Anyun said to Lin Haoyan, who was standing by his side as he watched these gorgeous, but short-lived, fireworks.

  “Okay…”

Author’s Note: Chu Yexuan is a classic example of someone who would be perverted in silence if she didn’t explode (:зゝ∠) Seems like something strange has been flipped on. This image, once gone, is gone forever. (:зゝ∠) It’s midnight╰(°▽°)╯I feel like I’m very adorable. Little angels, do you all love me?

Translator’s Note: Sorry to disappoint everyone who voted Lin Haoyan~ ;P Miao Anyun danced with Xia Youyou (of course he did heh). 👻 Also Chu Yexuan is about to turn crazy O-O

Also, kind of a sad announcement: I’m going to be “dropping” this novel (putting it on hiatus). Basically, I’m going to finish this first arc and leave it until I have time to work on it. I realize that my monthly updates are not ideal, but Salted Fish is my main project, and until that’s done, I probably won’t be able to push out more chapters. However, if anyone wants to pick this up after the first arc is done, feel free to do so (please do message me so I know, though). If no one has picked this up after I finish Salted Fish and nothing else unexpected happens, I’ll come back and continue posting this! I estimate Salted Fish will be finished in about half a year… so most likely no updates for a long time and it will probably count as dropped even by NUF’s 3 month standard.

Footnotes:

[1]: Godzilla (哥斯拉, gē sī lā)- I don’t know what this is… Zhongwen is giving me “Godzilla”- but Godzilla School, really? In Chinese, it’s basically their school’s name, Gelasse (格拉斯, gé lā sī), with its last two characters swapped and the first character replaced with “brother”. I was inclined to think it’s a typo, but the author put this (huh?) next to it, which makes me think it’s on purpose. So I’m going to keep it as ‘Godzilla’ for now and if anyone else has any suggestions, please tell me in the comments.

Lin Haoyan: The Princess is Mine, No One Else Should Even Think of Snatching Her

Author’s Note: Warning: Something awesome is about to happen! _(:зゝ∠)_ hhh, I simply can’t stop at all.

The next day, Miao Anyun, who had stayed up all night reading the script, luckily didn’t stay up to the point he got dark circles under his eyes.

Today was the school anniversary celebration. The students had all arrived at school early, which was a rare sight. The whole school was brimming with a kind of lively atmosphere. Even the graduating class of senior sisters had relaxed smiles on their faces.

Every year’s school anniversary was considered a fairly important day by Gelasse School. On this day, the students could relax, playing around as much as they liked. They didn’t need to think about those trivial matters.

Miao Anyun had just walked onto campus when he saw quite a few booths that had already been set up. The number of people who had already arrived at school couldn’t be said to be a lot, but it definitely also couldn’t be counted a little. From time to time, groups of people could be seen walking by, talking and laughing. The dignified surroundings had already started to become more lively.

When Miao Anyun arrived at the classroom, he unexpectedly saw Lin Haoyan, who had a smile plastered across his whole face. When he saw Miao Anyun come over, he smiled and waved his hand.

  “Little Yun, morning~”

  This estatic tilde…

Miao Anyun watched Lin Haoyan silently, deeply suspecting that Lin Haoyan had taken the wrong medicine this morning. And, what kind of terrible name is Little Yun… in less than two seconds, Miao Anyun came to the conclusion that Lin Haoyan did not take medicine this morning. He firmly decided to ignore Lin Haoyan, who had forgotten to take his medicine (?).

“Little Yun, why are you ignoring me~” Aggrieved.

“…” Miao Anyun didn’t even bat an eye as he touched the goosebumps on his shoulders. Then, he turned and walked out.

He had better go find his own family’s cousin. He couldn’t stay any longer in this classroom…→This was the Miao Anyun who would rather go practice piano than stay in the classroom and face the abnormal Lin Haoyan.

  ————————

There was still some time before his solo piano performance and their class play. Miao Anyun was currently sitting in the school theater, watching other people practice their performance.

Their school had specially constructed a theater for performances (should it be called worthy of being an aristocratic school… ). The theater was very large. It was large enough to seat all several thousand students of the school at once.

The theater had two floors. The view from the second floor was better, but there were fewer seats. These were usually given to the principal and teachers. Miao Anyun’s seat was also on the second floor. After all, he was from a privileged social class (Yeah, everyone understands).

The stage was very big, and its heavy red curtains were tied back with yellow ropes. At the moment, being presented on the stage was…

Miao Anyun silently watched that 189 cm tall rough looking man, who was wearing a white dress and a red hood while carrying a small basket.

  Guess what scene this is?

The narration went like this: Little Red Riding Hood was quickly walking through the forest path, about to reach her grandmother’s house to find her grandmother.

Correct, this was the story of “Little Red Riding Hood”. Miao Anyun felt like he would never be able to look straight at the four words “Little Red Riding Hood” in the same way ever again…

That scene, paired with that narration, made for a picture so amazing he didn’t even dare to look at it. The students all expressed one after another that their eyes were about to go bad.

Not only were the audience members below the stage laughing until they got stomachaches, almost unable to hold back their praise anymore, the Little Red Riding Hood on the stage also expressed he was feeling a mountain of pressure and nearly couldn’t go on anymore. This big bro could only feel like his face was scorching hot. This matter would probably leave him a psychological shadow for the rest of his life.

#Asking this big bro just how big of a psychological shadow he got from this moment#

Miao Anyun very calmly and collectedly (…) drank a mouthful of water, pushing down his shock. After seeing this “Little Red Riding Hood”, when he thought about how he too would have to wear a dress in just a little bit, Miao Anyun… his whole body felt unwell.

The incredibly fortunate thing was, the following performances were all pretty normal (?). There was nothing that made Miao Anyun feel horrified.

Hn, it was just some “Beauty and the Beast”s at the level where the beast had looks as beautiful as a flower and the beauty had looks like a slag (huh?). Miao Anyun numbly expressed that his heart didn’t move in the slightest.

Miao Little Yun seemed to have been played broken~ (laugh)

After a series of performances that left people physically and mentally traumatized to a certain extent, it was finally Miao Anyun and his class’s turn to perform. Miao Anyun got up from his seat with a stiff expression, following his classmates to the dressing room.

After allowing the little makeup sis to give him a delicate makeup look, Miao Anyun put on a wig, changed into a gorgeous cheongsam, and wore a pair of yellow high heels on his feet. In the eyes of the little makeup sis, when he walked out of the dressing room, he looked like this——

A girl with long black hair, lifting up her dress slightly as she walked gracefully out of the dressing room. Her skin was soft and white, like the cleanest fresh snow. Her appearance was exquisite to the point that the little makeup sis couldn’t find even a trace of flaws. Her dark, bright eyes looked quick-witted and clear. She looked like one of the elves that only existed in fairy tales, unimaginably beautiful

The little makeup sis who had already become stunned silly from the sight: Drooling.

Miao Anyun wasn’t aware of this himself, so he just went straight backstage like this, stunning quite a few people silly on the way.

“… Little Yun?” Lin Haoyan, who was handsomely dressed from head to toe as a prince, called out hesitantly.

“It’s me.” This beautiful elf gently parted his vermillion lips. His voice was as clear as the ice and snow on the mountaintop, crisp and melodious, but carrying a slight chill (voice changer √).

  “…” Lin Haoyan became intoxicated.

My wife (?!) is so pretty… heiheihei(﹃)→ Lin Haoyan’s thoughts.

Hey, who’s your wife? Does Miao Little Yun know that you call him like this?→_→

In just this short period of time, the performance of the previous class ended. The red curtains on the stage slowly lowered.

When the curtains were lifted once again, the backdrop had already changed to the gorgeous castle.

“In a distant country, there lived a king and queen who longed for a child. Hence, they sincerely prayed to the heavens…”

“Great deities! We are a good king and queen. Please bestow upon us a child!”→The queen, who was a man wearing a gorgeous cheongsam.

Yes, both the actors for the king and queen were men. Who asked their class to be a science class, where there tended to be more men? The front row lit some candles, expressing their pity.

“Not long after, the queen indeed gave birth to a cute little princess. This girl’s skin was as white as snow, her cheeks were as red as apples, and her hair was black and supple. Therefore, the king and queen named her “Snow White”. All the people across the country gave many, many blessings to Snow White.”

At this time, the curtain was lowered and the backdrop was replaced with a forest. At this time, Snow White, who was played by Miao Anyun, appeared.

“Snow White slowly grew up under the king and queen’s doting, and finally became a girl that everyone loved upon first sight. Snow White was extremely kind and caring, often playing with the animals. The animals in the forest, such as the deer, bunnies, squirrels, and birds, all liked Snow White because she would give them food to eat and even tell them stories.”

“Show White’s character was so good and pure, not at all fake like those coquettish cheap goods outside (something strange seems to have been mixed in??! And, isn’t this description too long…). She passed her days happily.” The narration continued on, but the audience below had already stopped listening.

The audience had completely exploded with liveliness. Miao Anyun, who was on the stage, seemed to have heard these kinds of conversations——

“WTF, which class is that little sis from? She’s so pretty!”

“Little sis little sis, look at me look at me(﹃)~”

“Ahhhh, little sis, marry me!!!” …

  Miao·Snow White·Anyun’s face stiffened.

Next (under the strong request of Miao Anyun), we press the fast forward button.

“When the dwarfs came home in the evening, they saw Snow White lying on the ground, as if dead. They immediately carried her onto the bed and tried their best to save her, but Snow White still did not wake up.”

“The dwarves cried and wept as they put Snow White into a glass coffin full of fresh flowers, preparing to hold a grand funeral.”

“Just then, the prince of a neighboring country just happened to pass by the forest. He saw the beautiful and lovely princess in the crystal coffin, along with the nearby mourning dwarves and animals.”

A wild Lin Haoyan has appeared (go away). Lin Haoyan, the handsome person dressed as a prince from head to toe, walked in front of the platform.

“After the prince found out what happened, he looked at Snow White sadly with tears in his eyes and said…”→Mr. Narrator

“Poor princess, how good would it be if you could come back to life!” Lin·Pervert·Prince·Haoyan gazed tenderly at Miao Anyun… ’s beautifully shaped red lips (the little makeup sis applied lipstick on him), planning to kiss them.

The Miao Anyun who was quietly lying down: …

He suddenly wanted to move around as a corpse, what to do?(╯‵□′)╯︵┻━┻

The audience beneath the stage: …Let go of that hot princess! Let me come!!!”

The audience below had just formed those thoughts when the operations on the stage were put into motion. They just managed to see a charming (?) dwarf blocking the prince’s movements, while the other six dwarves also started to react slowly, following the first dwarf’s lead to block the prince. Both sides were in a stalemate. Then, it was broken, and they started to fight.

The seven dwarves were acted by seven little sisses from their class. The leading dwarf (:зゝ∠) was the female lead Xia Youyou.

Xia·Dwarf·Youyou: The princess is mine! Go away, don’t bother us!

Everyone in the audience: Damn, this plot is wrong. What kind of godly plot twist is this… although we feel a little sorry for the prince, we are still silently saying to the dwarves, beautiful job!

Miao·Motionless Corpse Princess·Anyun could only feel the veins on his forehead popping up. He tried to control himself for a long time, but still failed in the end. He decisively made some sudden movements as a corpse!

Everyone witnessed the beautiful Snow White suddenly opening her closed eyes, sitting up expressionlessly from the crystal coffin and spitting out the poisonous apple in her mouth. She gracefully stood up and left as gently as she came, leaving everyone with only an infinitely beautiful view of her back.

“… Snow White came back to life, and lived a happy and blessed life forever after…”

  End of play.

  Audience: stupefied.gif

  Performers: stupefied.gif

“Clap clap clap!” A few people took the initiative to start clapping. The applause that originally came in twos and threes seemed to have set off a chain reaction. The audience turned into a sea of applause. In the end, almost everybody was applauding.

Students and Teachers: Even though we feel that there seems to be something wrong with this plot, it is unexpectedly very good ╰(°▽°)╯

Miao Anyun: What Acting in Women’s Clothes? I Refuse From the Bottom of My Heart

After class, it was time for the lunch break. After he finished eating lunch, Miao Anyun walked towards the school library with a book in hand, planning to go read in the library.

Don’t ask why Lin Haoyan wasn’t there. Only ghosts knew what he had been busy with recently.

As a second year high school student, the importance attached to schoolwork increased. Even though he already went through the college entrance exam in his previous life, it had already been many years, and all the knowledge he had learned before had long been returned to his teacher.

Even though this was an aristocratic school, Miao Anyun didn’t want to just muddle through school in order to get a diploma. It had already been a long time since he could just relax as he went through life, without having to worry about anything besides school. He also didn’t have to experience anger and pain from his illness every day. Miao Anyun expressed that he was considerably satisfied with this healthy outer shell.

”Hey! Miao Anyun, wait for me!” Xia Youyou trotted to catch up with Miao Anyun.

”What did you come to find me for?” Miao Anyun held his book and stopped indifferently, tilting his head to look at the panting and gasping for breath Xia Youyou. He didn’t know why, but the female lead had been pestering him constantly recently.

”I can’t find you without a reason?” Xia Youyou said, feeling a little wronged. As the eldest young miss from the Xia family, she had been spoiled from when she was a child. When had she ever had to suppress her anger? And that person wasn’t even grateful.

”So meaningless.” Miao Anyun only looked at her coldly before turning and walking away. He didn’t pay any attention to the irate Xia Youyou.

  Library

Miao Anyun randomly found a seat and sat down, flipping through the book in his hand. Even though it was said that his knowledge had been returned to the teacher, Miao Anyun’s memory couldn’t be considered bad, so he still remembered bits and pieces of everything.

After reading just a little bit of the textbook, he would basically be able to recall most of the information. Then, he would just need to spend his time relearning the little bit of information left that he didn’t remember. Fortunately, he hadn’t come too late. There was still plenty of time for him to get ready for the college entrance exam.

The library was very quiet and only the sound of pages flipping could be heard. Because it was the lunch break, there weren’t many people in the library.

Chen Churong seemed to be intently reading the book she was holding, but she was actually sneaking peeks at the school idol Miao Anyun, who was not far away.

The youth sitting close by had short black layered hair, which seemed like it would feel good to the touch. His black obsidian eyes were currently focused on the materials in his hand. His exquisite face was expressionless, but it wasn’t as cold as usual, giving people the impression that he was extremely focused.

Chen Churong didn’t show it on her face, but she was actually screaming in her heart. As if she had just thought of something, she silently reached into her bag and took out her phone. Using her book as a cover, she sneakily took a picture and sent it to her roommates. Because she was in a library, her phone had long been turned to silent out of habit, so she wasn’t afraid of getting caught.

[Chen Churong: The male god is really in the library right now ah ah ah!!! A real live male god! [scream][image] I really want to turn into the book that’s in the male god’s hand! [drool]

Yang Xiaozhen: Damn, Churong, is the male god still there? Can I still make it if I go now?! [starry eyes]

Zhu Yuhui: The male god is so handsome! Lick lick lick! [drool] Take me with you to the library! [heart]

Xiong Guhan: Be more quiet, you guys. Is it that exaggerated? I don’t really see the point. [doubt] [helpless]

Chen Churong and Yang Xiaozhen and Zhu Yuhui: Guhan, you must be blind! You should hold back from saying your feelings. [despise]

Chen Churong: The male god is still here. Those who want to come, come!]

Fanatics who loved Miao Anyun didn’t consist of just Chen Churong and her roommates. Actually, over half of the female students at Gelasse College were all fascinated by the two school idols of the college. Those like Chen Churong who called her roommates over weren’t in the minority. Hence, more and more people came to the library, most of whom were girls.

Miao Anyun, who was quietly reading his book, didn’t even notice that he had been surrounded by fangirls. He just felt that the number of people in the library suddenly increased. He didn’t care too much though and honestly assumed that everyone was usually just obsessed with learning. It couldn’t be that they had come to watch him, could it?

Miao Little Yun, you’re really too naive. Did you really think that everyone likes to learn as much as you? Worlds based off of novels were just this callous. Its people would create trouble for no reason. This large group of people really did run over just to watch you.

The fangirls secretly opened a chat window in which they knelt down and licked their male god, completely unaware that the other school idol had also appeared here.

Miao Anyun, who was concentrated on learning, also didn’t notice. Not far from where he sat, Lin Haoyan, who had been missing for many days, was perversely secretly rubbing his hands.

Lin Haoyan: Hehehe, Miao Anyun’s concentrated appearance looks really delicious. I really want to take a bite (?﹃?)

Pervert classmate, does your family’s Little Yun know what you’re thinking? Ah, he clearly doesn’t know. ╮(╯_╰)╭

And so, Miao Anyun passed the afternoon immersed in his studies. The fangirls (?) also passed their afternoons in a wonderful way.

Don’t ask how Miao Anyun didn’t notice he was being peeped at by other people. Apart from being absorbed with learning, it could probably be said——he was used to it.

  ————————

That afternoon, the homework load was as heavy as ever. Before school ended, the teacher told everyone to stay behind, telling them what their class would be performing this time at the school celebration.

”For this school celebration, our class will be performing a play. You guys have also discussed this before. There were two options that received a lot of support. Now, we will draw lots to decide which one we will be performing.” The teacher smiled and shook the two slips of paper in his hand. “I’ll randomly draw a student’s number, and that student will draw lots on behalf of the whole class.”

The number on the screen jumped, and then stopped at 34.

  ”Number 34.”

  Miao Anyun: …

Since he had been chosen, there was no other way. Miao Anyun could only silently walk to the podium. He randomly picked one and gave it to the teacher. Well, regardless of whether it was “Sleeping Beauty” or “Snow White” that was picked, it didn’t matter. Both had the same number of pits1.

Why did an aristocratic school have to do something like performing in a play? And why did they have to act out this kind of pitted script? Where was the sense of class that separated the rich from the poor? Miao Anyun expressed that he also didn’t know.

The teacher was very direct and efficient (probably because he didn’t need to act in the play?) as he unfolded the slip of paper. On it was written “Snow White.” So, it was happily decided that their class would be performing “Snow White” for their school’s anniversary celebration.

”Here are 43 slips of paper. Everyone should come up to draw their role for the performance. Students who draw blank slips don’t need to act in the play!” The teacher took out a box for drawing lots and walked down from the podium.

The teacher had prepared two of these kinds of boxes. After all, he hadn’t known whether “Sleeping Beauty” or “Snow White” would be picked.

Everyone drew their slip of paper quickly. From time to time, the sound of laughter could be heard as someone drew a role they liked or drew a blank slip. There would also be the sound of wailing as unfortunate people drew a pitted role. In brief, the teacher reached Miao Anyun’s seat in the fourth row very quickly.

Miao Anyun: …Why do I have an ominous premonition?

Miao Anyun, whose heart felt faintly uneasy and doubtful, hesitated for a while. Then, he realized that he would have to draw his role sooner or later, so he may as well do it quickly, so as to not waste everyone else’s time. He promptly pulled out a slip of paper.

At the urging of the teacher, Miao Anyun unfolded the little slip of paper with the attitude of a martyr.

On the little snow white sheet of paper, written in a flowery font, was the word——princess.

Miao Anyun’s face darkened. He stared at the little slip of paper with fiery eyes, seeming as if he wanted to burn a hole in it. Unfortunately, the result didn’t change.

By his side, the teacher suppressed a smile. He recorded his name and the word “princess” next to it. Then, he continued to the next student’s seat without pause.

Upon seeing his sweetheart’s dark face, Lin Haoyan was a little curious and sneakily moved closer. Upon seeing the paper in his sweetheart’s hand that said “princess,” the originally similarly unhappy Lin Haoyan nearly laughed aloud.

The reason was very simple. Written in the same font on his paper was the word——prince.

Lin Haoyan recalled the plot of “Snow White” and just wanted to laugh loudly towards the heavens. In order to maintain his image in front of his sweetheart, he barely managed to prevent himself from actually laughing.

He could honorably kiss Little Yun. He felt excited just thinking about it! Lin Haoyan’s heart was filled with all sorts of happiness.

Xia Youyou looked at her seemingly-epileptic desk mate with the gaze she would use to look at a crazy person. After thinking about it for two seconds, she silently shifted to the side. Even though she really wanted to know what Brother Yun’s role was, when she saw Miao Anyun’s dark and clouded handsome face that was becoming colder and colder, she couldn’t muster up the courage to go ask QWQ

In any case, after everyone was done drawing lots, everyone’s role would be displayed. There was no need to be so hurried, Xia Youyou thought.

After everyone had finished drawing lots, the teacher wrote the list of roles on the blackboard. When they saw the words “princess—Miao Anyun,” the whole class turned in unison to look at a certain school idol whose face was as dark as before. Under the pressure of a certain someone emitting more and more cold air, they silently turned their heads back.

Boys: Hahaha, we’ll never be jealous of you getting the girls’ attention ever again [candle][candle][candle]2

Girls: Our hearts ache for the male god, but upon thinking about it, this picture seems to carry a certain feeling _(:зゝ∠)_

As for the Miao Anyun who was emitting cold air, he had already started thinking about the probability of making himself sick the day before the school celebration. Then he suddenly remembered that he was going to represent the music club in a performance. His face couldn’t help but darken even more.

After waiting for the students to calm down, the teacher slowly and unhurriedly said, “Tomorrow is the school’s anniversary celebration. There is already no time left to practice, so it’s up to everyone to improvise and do their best. I have already sent you guys the script. Everyone has to work hard and help our class win a prize!” The teacher made a cheering gesture and left freely with an outwardly kind, but inwardly evil smile.

  ”Ah!?” × N

The students who were left behind watched the teacher walk away with a dazed expression.

Teacher, come back and make it clear! Did you really not do this on purpose?!!

The teacher gave a duplicitous smile, expressing that he had done this on purpose. He also couldn’t do anything about the school’s arrangement [innocent][spread hands]

  ————————

Miao Anyun, who was in a bad mood, looked at the female supporting lead who had her head lowered. He coldly asked what she wanted.

”That, I… ” Chu Yexuan twisted the corners of her clothes and finally managed to muster up her courage before Miao Anyun became impatient. “Brother Anyun, for the school celebration dance, could- could you be my partner?”

As soon as he heard the two words “school celebration,” Miao Anyun’s face darkened subconsciously. He completely didn’t register Chu Yexuan’s request and carelessly nodded his head impatiently. Then, he directly left without waiting for Chu Yexuan’s response.

When he returned home, he still had to deal with that annoying script!

Seeing that Miao Anyun seemed to have agreed, Chu Yexuan became overjoyed and didn’t mind that Miao Anyun had just left. She gazed at Miao Anyun’s back and smiled sweetly.

  Brother Anyun promised me…

On an off note, I’ll be compiling all the chapters I’ve ever translated into Google Docs- that way, if this site ever malfunctions, I still have my back-ups! And lmao, anyone want to guess who Miao Anyun will dance with? Here, I’ll set up a little poll: [poll closed]

Footnotes:

[1]: pits/pitted (坑爹, kēng diē)- basically cheating people. Pits in Chinese usually mean something like… a pit trap dug out for other people to fall in. So there’s a sort of “I’ve been cheated” feeling. This is also the same pits as in “brain pits,” which is where someone is lacking common sense (their brain has holes). Anyway, so basically these plays both feel stupid to Miao Anyun. Miao Anyun feels cheated. ^o^

[2]: candle (蜡烛, là zhú)- short for “light a candle,” which is what you do when you think someone’s going to die (have a bad time), so you pray for them by lighting a candle. Basically, “You’re in for a rough time and basically dead. I wish you good luck.”

Xia Youyou: Whatever Brother Yun Says is Right

”Little Yun, the school celebration will be in a few days. Are your songs ready?” Yu Caishan asked Miao Anyun, who was sitting in front of the piano.

”Yes.” Miao Anyun nodded towards Yu Caishan.

He had already practiced this song for a few weeks. Speaking of this, although the music club was indeed preparing a program for the school celebration, he didn’t necessarily have to perform.

Even if he just counted the people he knew about, there were still a lot of people preparing to compete for a spot to perform. Those who did get a spot would always be the best members in the club. And, the club president must be the most excellent of them all. Every year, this school anniversary celebration was the time to determine who the next president was. This probably counted as a symbol of honor?

In any case, Miao Anyun didn’t have any thoughts about this. He didn’t have any interest towards this kind of competition to become the president. His family’s cousin had always been trying to throw this burden onto him.

Yu Caishan looked at the cold-faced Miao Anyun, wanting to say something, when her phone sounded, interrupting her. She hurriedly grabbed her phone and glanced at it, causing a warm smile to appear on her face.

Miao Anyun expressed that he didn’t even need to look at her to know that it was the mysterious cousin-in-law who called.

”Little Yun, I have something to do, so I’ll leave first! Bye~” Yu Caishan smiled sweetly, grabbed her school uniform jacket, and hurried away.

Miao Anyun: So I really fell out of favor…

#What should I do about being played everyday, waiting online, urgent#

Miao Anyun took a look at the time and thought that it was also about time for him to leave.

  ————————

Xia Youyou left school late today because of some club activities. By the time she left, the sky had already become dark. She was walking on the road by herself at the moment. After seeing Miao Anyun play the piano that time, Lin Haoyan had started to alienate her somewhat and stopped sending her home.

Xia Youyou had already been a little upset originally. Now that she found that her path had deliberately been blocked by several people, she became even more angry.

”What are you guys trying to do?” Xia Youyou asked, restraining her temper.

Standing in front of her and blocking her from leaving were a few men dressed like gangsters.

”Little sister, you have a good figure. Want to play with us brothers? Big brother promises that you’ll enjoy it?” The one who seemed to be the leader of this group of gangsters opened his mouth, revealing a mouthful of yellow teeth. His leering little eyes scanned all over the currently angered Xia Youyou’s body.

”You’re looking for death!” Being looked at with this kind of annoying gaze, Xia Youyou couldn’t bear it anymore. She clenched her fist and punched the gangster in the nose.

”Ow!” The gangster’s nose was hit harshly by Xia Youyou and he couldn’t help but take a few steps back, clutching his nose. He felt a warm liquid flowing out of his nostrils and when he touched his nose with his hand, he saw red blood smears. “You want to choose the hard way? Brothers, attack!”

Xia Youyou resisted at first, knocking down a few gangsters, but towards the end, she could only dodge passively. Even though she’d learned Taekwondo before, she was, after all, a girl without much strength or energy. And not only were these gangsters physically strong, they were also obscenely dedicated to attacking a girl’s private parts. Adding on their advantage in numbers, Xia Youyou quickly fell into a disadvantage, unable to support herself.

If it wasn’t because there were too many of them, overpowering her technique with brute force, she would never have fallen into this situation.

It wasn’t that she didn’t think about running away, but these people had long had her surrounded. She simply couldn’t even find a chance to escape.

Xia Youyou was a bit upset at having been forced into this situation. If she hadn’t fallen out with Lin Haoyan and ridden the car back home, would she have been able to avoid this situation?

She looked at the slowly approaching gangsters with a little despair. Someone, come save her! Anyone was fine! Brother Yun…

The gangsters in front of her were suddenly knocked to the ground. That person opened a gap and pulled her out by the hand as they started to run.

The two ran for a while before they were able to shake off that group of gangsters.

”Thank… Miao Anyun, how is it you!?” Xia Youyou was just about to thank that person when he turned around, revealing a very familiar face.

”Oh, so you won’t even say a few words of thanks?” He indifferently pried Xia Youyou’s hand off. Miao Anyun looked at the female lead in front of him who had just been acting like a little white flower, twin streams of tears flowing down her cheeks, but then changed her face as soon as she saw her savior.

As for why he had appeared there? Actually, Miao Anyun had originally planned on driving home, but 0237 suddenly said that there was a plot event that he needed to participate in. He ran the whole way there and as soon as he arrived, he saw the female lead being forced into a corner by a group of gangsters. Miao Anyun brought the female lead out and ran away without a single word.

Heaven knows why the female lead, a rich daughter of a large family, would walk home alone. No matter how Miao Anyun thought about it, he just couldn’t understand. In the end, he could only attribute it to the plot.

Speaking of which, did the female lead say something just now?

”What did you just say?” Miao Anyun asked straightforwardly.

”I said, thank you!” Xia Youyou was a little angry. She felt that this guy hadn’t been listening to her at all just now.

”You’re welcome. I just didn’t want to see someone from school being bullied by outsiders. Don’t think too much.” ←The usual lines spewed by his poisonous tongue towards the female lead.

”I know!” Xia Youyou angrily retorted. She turned away, wanting to leave.

”Hey,” Miao Anyun suddenly called Xia Youyou.

”What else do you want?” Xia Youyou angrily turned around.

”I’ll send you home,” Miao Anyun said naturally.

”Huh?” Xia Youyou’s expression looked as if she had just seen a ghost. She suspected that she was hearing hallucinations. “What did you just say?”

”I’ll send you home. Let’s go,” Miao Anyun repeated impatiently. He didn’t wait for Xia Youyou’s reply and took her hand as he started to walk.

”Huh, eh?” Xia Youyou was stunned for a few seconds before she reacted. “Let go of me! Hey…”

The handsome, elegant, and indifferent youth pulled the pretty girl along. A handsome boy and a pretty girl, they looked like a perfect match.

  ……

  The Xia Family’s Front Door

”We’re here. I’ll leave first.” Right after sending Xia Youyou to the door, Miao Anyun decided to leave.

”Okay. About today’s matter… thank you.” Xia Youyou was a little embarrassed and told Miao Anyun thanks in a quiet voice.

Miao Anyun also didn’t use his poisonous tongue on Xia Youyou as usual. His back faced Xia Youyou and his steps didn’t stop. His head didn’t even turn as he waved a hand.

Xia Youyou’s gaze followed him as he slowly walked further away. Just as she prepared to go inside, she suddenly saw a necklace laying on the ground. It was probably dropped by Miao Anyun. She picked up the necklace and just as she planned to give chase, she discovered that Miao Anyun was nowhere to be found. She could only put away the necklace and try to return it to him tomorrow.

  ————————

Today, Miao Anyun arrived at school very early, as usual. What surprised him was that the female lead Xia Youyou, who always liked to arrive right as the bell rang, actually arrived a bit earlier than him.

”…” Today’s Xia Youyou was extremely silent. She sported two big, dark circles under her eyes. It seemed that she hadn’t slept well last night.

”This necklace, is it yours?” Xia Youyou opened her fist, revealing a delicate necklace in the middle of her palm.

”Yes.” Miao Anyun took the necklace and extremely carefully put it away, close to his body. “Thanks.” Even though his tone was indifferent, it wasn’t hard to hear the seriousness in it.

”… Is this necklace very important to you?” Xia Youyou looked at Miao Anyun with a complicated expression.

Yesterday, she felt that this necklace was very familiar, but unfortunately, she couldn’t seem to recall where she had seen it before. However, she had accidentally looked at a picture of her and Brother Yun from before and realized, wasn’t this Brother Yun’s most cherished necklace?

So, was Miao Anyun her Brother Yun? But in her memories, Brother Yun’s eyebrows were always curved and he would gently comfort her. The difference between him and her impression of that indifferent and bad school idol spanned more than a hundred and eight thousand miles.

”Yes,” Miao Anyun replied in a low voice. After a while, he continued, “This was left to me by my mother. It was her last gift to me…”

Xia Youyou originally thought that she would want to gloat seeing Miao Anyun’s sad appearance, but it was too bad that she didn’t. After she realized that Miao Anyun was Brother Yun, she couldn’t hate him anymore. Seeing this young man’s distressed look, Xia Youyou immediately felt some heartache.

What had happened after that time? Why did that originally gentle Brother Yun change to become indifferent and bad?

”What are you guys doing?” Lin Haoyan’s angry voice rang out.

Lin Haoyan had felt worried about Xia Youyou towards the end yesterday, but when he had driven into the vicinity of Xia Youyou’s house, he saw Xia Youyou bowing her head and thanking Miao Anyun shyly.

The atmosphere between the two people was very good. When this scene entered Lin Haoyan’s eyes, unstoppable jealousy flowed in his heart, but he couldn’t tell who it was for. He turned his car around and left without hesitation.

He had been hiding from Miao Anyun recently, wondering just who he actually cared about. Yesterday, he saw the two interacting again, making it hard for him to sleep. Today, he came to school with the same dark circles as Xia Youyou.

He never thought that he would be stimulated by Miao Anyun and Xia Youyou as soon as he arrived at school.

Just now, Miao Anyun and Xia Youyou had been leaning really close to each other. From Lin Haoyan’s angle, it looked like they were hugging each other. Although he still hadn’t figured out who he liked, it didn’t prevent him from becoming jealous. Naturally, he exploded.

When it came to Lin Haoyan, even if he just rolled his eyes, Miao Anyun would know what he was thinking.

And so, he opened his mouth to explain. “You’ve misunderstood. Youyou was only returning my necklace to me.”

Youyou. Such an intimate name for her. It would’ve been fine had he not explained, but after he explained, it actually made Lin Haoyan give an angry laugh. He slammed the door without a word as he left. Miao Anyun and Xia Youyou were left behind to exchange glances.

”What’s wrong with him?” Xia Youyou hesitated to open her mouth. Lin Haoyan had never made such a big display of his temper in front of her before. In front of her, he had always tried to display a perfect, elegant image, never crossing any lines.

”Maybe he’s just in a bad mood?” Miao Anyun was also a little confused and blinked his eyes. At this kind of time, even if he was Lin Haoyan’s childhood friend, he still wouldn’t know what he was thinking.

”Oh.” Xia Youyou replied obediently, expressing that whatever Brother Yun said was right. After all, the one she liked the most was Brother Yun.

  ————————

The more Lin Haoyan thought about it, the angrier he got. His heart felt stifled, but he was still at a loss as to who his anger was directed at.

After hesitating for a bit, Lin Haoyan took out his phone, planning to ask for outside help.

[Lin Haoyan: I want to ask you something.

Gu Wende: Ah, my respected young master. What are you calling me for so early in the morning? Never mind, never mind. Ask quickly, I still want to continue sleeping.

Lin Haoyan: If you steal something from a person, does it mean that you really like that thing?

Gu Wende: Why are you suddenly asking this?

Lin Haoyan: What are you asking so much for? Just quickly answer me.

Gu Wende: Sometimes, when you steal things from a person, it might not necessarily be because of that thing? I think it could also be about the person you stole the thing from.

Gu Wende: For example, last time, I stole an antique from Ji Kangle, that evildoer. I didn’t take the antique because I liked it, but because the person I was stealing it from was Ji Kangle. You didn’t see it, but at that time, Ji Kangle was so angry his face turned blue. Even now, I become happy whenever I recall it. [proud]

Lin Haoyan: Okay, I know. Stop being so wordy, you should continue sleeping.

Gu Wende: WTF, you disturbed me so early in morning just to ask me one question!? Lin Haoyan, what’s wrong with you!?]

Lin Haoyan didn’t pay him any more attention. His heart was very turbulent. Fighting over something didn’t necessarily mean that it was because of that thing. It could be because of the person that the thing was stolen from… He had those feelings, he just never thought in that direction. Now that he had, he suddenly felt as if everything was clear .

He was probably… wrong from the start. Starting from his last life, his target of envy had always been Xia Youyou. He envied that she could stand openly by Little Yun’s side, envied that she could snatch away all of Little Yun’s attention… so stealing Xia Youyou from Little Yun, it wasn’t because he liked Xia Youyou, but that he hadn’t wanted the two of them to be together.

Before, he had always thought that he liked girls, so he mistook his loved one to be Xia Youyou. He actually spent two worlds’ worth of time to clearly understand his own heart. It really made him a little speechless.

Fortunately, he felt that it wasn’t too late. He still had a chance! Lin Haoyan’s eyes brightened and his expression slowly became resolute.

Miao Anyun: I Have a Cousin, She’s in Love

”Ding ding ding~!” The bell that signified the end of class rang quickly.

Miao Anyun packed up his book bag, but he didn’t intend to leave. Today, he had a club activity to attend. If there wasn’t anything else important to do, it was best to go at least once. And Lin Haoyan had been wholeheartedly chasing after the female lead recently, so he naturally didn’t have any time to spare on caring about his childhood friend.

The club that Miao Anyun joined was a rather leisurely music club. The music club didn’t require its members to be present every day and its requirements were relatively loose. They were pretty idle and there was usually nothing for them to do. However, when there were competitions, school art performances, or other activities, the club would become very busy.

  Music Club Classroom

”Little Yun came?” Yu Caishan softly revealed a gentle smile to the Miao Anyun who was pushing open the door.

”President.” Miao Anyun gently nodded towards her and said hello.

The gentle and moving beauty in front of him was the president of the music club, Yu Caishan. This senior sister was in her third year of high school, majoring in playing the zither. She was also a little famous. She had a very classic temperament, as if she had just walked out of the mist and rain of a Jiangnan canal town.

Yu Caishan had silky black hair that reached her waist and a pair of eyes as beautiful and mysterious as two black pearls. The features on her standard oval face were elegant and delicate, often carrying a small soft smile. Her figure was also exquisite and charming. Her whole person looked very gentle and dignified.

It was a pity that this gentleness and dignity was just on the outside. This senior sister was actually quite casual. She had many suitors after her at school, but she had always taken everyone else around her to be her close girl friend, never thinking in the other direction. So even though this senior sister clearly had a lot of suitors, she still hadn’t had a single relationship yet.

The reason why Miao Anyun knew this so clearly was because Yu Caishan was his cousin. This girl had always treated him as her own dear brother, so Miao Anyun respected her very deeply. The relationship between the two could be considered quite good. At least, it wasn’t worse than his relationship with Lin Haoyan, who had grown up with him. The fact that he came to the music club’s meetings was not wholly unrelated to this club president.

”Stinky brat, I already said to call me Sister Caishan~” Yu Caishan shot him an angry glance, but her tone was very affectionate.

”Sister Caishan.” Miao Anyun’s expression didn’t change as he changed his words. In truth, Yu Caishan had already corrected him on the matter of her title multiple times. Miao Anyun would change his words each time, but the next time he saw her, he would revert back to his old address. Yu Caishan never got tired of it, though.

”Have you decided on which song you will perform for the school’s anniversary celebration?”

”Yes. It’s “Wandering in the Rain.”” Miao Anyun took out a few manuscripts from his bag and handed them to Yu Caishan.

Yu Caishan took the manuscripts and roughly scanned over it, somewhat amazed. The talent of this cousin of hers was indeed better than hers by quite a bit.

On the thin sheets of paper, many complicated music notes were densely packed. Miao Anyun’s handwriting was delicate and straight, very comfortable to look at. Even though the notes were densely packed and complicated, the entire paper was still very clean and tidy, without the slightest sense of messiness.

While Yu Caishan was looking at the manuscript, Miao Anyun had silently sat down before the piano. His slender hands landed on the alternating black and white piano keys, and the lively notes poured out of his fingertips.

After finishing the song, Miao Anyun looked at the Yu Caishan on the side who was lost in thought without interrupting. Yu Caishan pondered for a long time before taking out a pen and changing the music score slightly.

”Try playing it again.” Yu Caishan handed over her slightly revised sheet music.

Miao Anyun carefully read over the revised sheet music several times before playing it again. Although it could be considered smooth before, after Yu Caishan’s changes, the song seemed to have undergone some subtle changes that undoubtedly made it better than before.

”Well, you practice first. I’ll go see how the others are doing.” Yu Caishan nodded towards Miao Anyun, got up, and walked out.

Miao Anyun spent the next few days practicing the piano. Because of this practice, Miao Anyun’s piano skill became more proficient and he became more comfortable with playing this song.

On this day, Miao Anyun was earnestly practicing this song when he suddenly heard someone’s footsteps. At this time, the only one who would be looking for him was Yu Caishan. And so, he straightforwardly stopped playing.

”Little Yun, come help me look at this song.” Yu Caishan held a few sheets of music with a red face. She looked like a little girl in love.

”Okay.” Miao Anyun nodded and took the music sheets, but he was not in a hurry to start playing. Instead, he looked at Yu Caishan. His casual cousin was unexpectedly acting very uncharacteristic today, giving off the aura of a little bashful daughter. It couldn’t be that she had a crush?

”What are you looking at? Go play your song!” Yu Caishan became a little embarrassed when she saw him looking at her. Like a little girl whose tender feelings had been exposed, she suddenly flew into a rage out of humiliation.

Seeing Yu Caishan’s enraged manner, Miao Anyun silently looked away and placed the sheet music onto the music stand, preparing to play the song. This cousin was indeed in love, right?

Yu Caishan gave him the music score for the zither. The music scores for the zither were usually labelled with numbers, with Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So, La, and Ti represented by the numbers one through seven. However, if the musician’s level was above level ten, they would usually use the music scores with the music staff. After all, there were some things that the numbered scores couldn’t convey. This score used the music staff. He majored in piano, which also used the music staff notations, so it wasn’t a big difference for him.

Miao Anyun’s playing was somewhat shaky in the beginning, but after playing a few times, he had already become familiar with it.

The song “Lovesickness” expressed his cousin’s inner thoughts to the greatest extent. A young girl’s feelings were always so poetic. Lovesickness, this word was so beautiful and cruel.

The shy girl liked someone and watched him from afar. She wanted to come closer, but she also didn’t dare to. Confused and ignorant, happy but distressed. She looked forward to his gaze falling upon her, but when he really did turn his gaze towards her, she would shyly avoid his gaze.

The seeds of adoration took root in her heart. It was only when she regained consciousness that she discovered he had already taken up a place in her heart. She was secretly enamored with him, simple and pure. She would feel happy when he approached her, but would also feel sad and dispirited by his closeness to her. She was hesitant, happy but downhearted. In the end, she still didn’t dare to reveal her feelings to her beloved…

This piece of music was not only about technique, but also about the emotion of the player. No matter how superb their technical skill was, if they were lacking in genuine emotions, the evaluation of their playing wouldn’t be high.

And Yu Caishan had obviously poured her deepest feelings into this song. As a single dog who had never been in a relationship before, for a while, Miao Anyun couldn’t play the piece in a way that expressed the romantic pain of having a crush.

And so, he was grabbed by Yu Caishan and made to play many more times. This song was probably the song that Yu Caishan attached the most importance to. She clearly wanted to use this song to express her feelings. Naturally, she couldn’t accept even the slightest imperfection in the song.

If this wasn’t the case, the bro-con Yu Caishan couldn’t possibly nitpick so much, grabbing onto her family’s little brother and refusing to let go. She tirelessly listened to Miao Anyun’s increasingly more perfect performance over and over again, looking for the flaws in the song very seriously.

Miao Anyun worked hard to imagine what it would be like to have a crush on someone. She was “Miao Anyun’s” most beloved sister, so for this kind of small thing, Miao Anyun would want to help out to the best of his ability.

However, why did it feel like he had already lost favor with his family’s cousin before she even started chasing his cousin-in-law? Miao Anyun was silently worried at heart.

By the time Yu Caishan was finally satisfied, the minute hand had already gone almost full two laps.

”Little Yun, I’ve really inconvenienced you today. I’ll treat you to a meal another day~” Yu Caishan only just realized that she had dragged her family’s little brother to play this song for so long and immediately smiled apologetically.

”Okay.” Miao Anyun indifferently nodded his head and watched Yu Caishan leave with a brisk pace. However, he actually didn’t leave and instead rested both his hands on the piano keys again.

As before, he was still playing the song “Lovesickness.” He was very absorbed in playing it. This time, even though he had never had a secret crush, he still expressed the sweetness and sentiments of youth. As if he was really secretly in love with someone.

  ————————

Xia Youyou and Lin Haoyan strolled around the campus, talking and laughing. On their way past the classroom, they suddenly heard a melodious piano note.

The sound of the piano was lively, but it also carried an undertone of repressed emotions, as if complaining constantly about its inner feelings of lovesickness.

Who was playing this song? Xia Youyou couldn’t help but become very interested in the person playing the piano. She pulled Lin Haoyan closer to that classroom.

The glass in the classroom was transparent, and she could easily see the player of the song.

The youth was sitting upright in front of the piano, his slender and white hands dancing lithely on the distinct black and white keys. He closed his eyes, as if intoxicated in the world of music. The sunlight outside the window fell on his delicate brows, making him look like an elegant and infatuated prince that existed only in fairy tales.

Xia Youyou just looked at him, unexpectedly feeling a little silly. He was worthy of being called a Gelasse school idol on par with Lin Haoyan. His appearance alone was impeccable. This person didn’t seem to be as nasty as she thought.

However, Lin Haoyan didn’t have the mind to watch the Miao Anyun obsessed Xia Youyou at the moment. Through the window, he stared intently at the Miao Anyun inside, his amorous peach blossom eyes currently a bit complicated and pained.

Anyun you, who did you like?

He just wanted to rush in and question him, but when he became aware of his own thoughts, his heart became a mess. As a good brother, what right did he have to question Miao Anyun? Besides, if Miao Anyun found someone he liked, shouldn’t he be happy?

The Miao Anyun who was completely concentrated on the piano obviously didn’t notice the two people outside the window. It wasn’t until he finished playing the whole song that he noticed Lin Haoyan and Xia Youyou outside the window.

He was a bit astonished as he got up and walked to the window, opening it.

”What’s the matter”? Miao Anyun didn’t even spare a glance for Xia Youyou. This question was obviously directed at Lin Haoyan.

”Ah, you’re actually ignoring this lady!” Xiao Youyou only felt that she had been blind just then, actually thinking that this guy was handsome. What male god, what prince, he was still the guy with a bad personality without the slightest bit of elegance from her first impression of him!

”…” Lin Haoyan had a complex look on him. He watched Miao Anyun silently for a long time before shaking his head. For the first time, he abandoned Xia Youyou and left on his own.

Upon seeing Lin Haoyan leave, the Xia Youyou who had originally wanted to say a few more words to Miao Anyun also didn’t stay longer, hurriedly following him out.

Miao Anyun felt that something was a little strange at present, but he didn’t think too much. He dismissed it as Lin Haoyan being in a bad mood. However, with the female lead by his side, he estimated that it wouldn’t ever be his turn to comfort him. Thinking this way, Miao Anyun easily put the matter in the back of his mind. He still had to rush to tell his family’s cousin about the parts of “Lovesickness” that still needed a few modifications.

Author’s Note: Thank you for the encouragement of a few little angels╰(*°▽°*)╯However, to make the story more lively, I really can’t do it OTZ. Yesterday, I watched a few episodes of Love O2O with my friends, and then my writing style suddenly seemed to have changed _(:зゝ∠)_. I might write another chapter today, but I don’t know if I can finish it. If I finish it, I’ll post it directly. If I can’t, then I’ll post it around tomorrow. It’s just like this. Love you all kiss (づ ̄ 3 ̄)づ. Thank you to little angel “Mu Ye Shen Ge” for pointing out my mistakes. They have already been fixed.

Translator’s Note: So I received a question in the comments asking me about my updating schedule… Well… I don’t have one~ Once a week would already be considered good, I think. I have so many other projects going on- My main two projects, “Quick Transmigration Cannon Fodder’s Record of Counterattacks” and “I’m Afraid I’m Now a Salted Fish” will take precedence. In addition, I recently joined Foxaholic… *cough cough*… And picked up a project… So… But I will definitely won’t drop this story! When one of the other stories are finished, this one will be finished faster. So here’s my current schedule: Salted Fish (2 chapters a week, 40+ chapters left, 3k words per chapter; estimated finish time is in 5 months). QTF (10 chapters a week, 40+ chapters left in my current arc, 1k words per chapter; estimated finish time is a month; however, I might be doing more arcs… so.). New project- “The Husbands from the Republic of China” (group project, so alternating chapters with group on Foxaholic, 1k words per chapter… this one I don’t really have schedule for yet- still in progress). Not counting the new Foxaholic project that I have not yet started on, that’s 16k+ words a week. And I’m a pretty slow translator… 1k words takes me around an hour. This story has 3k word chapters… so once a week is probably my limit. I’m very sorry for this, but please bear with me as I go slowly~

Miao Anyun: Why Are There Always People Disturbing My Sleep

”What did you say? Could you say that again!?” Xia Youyou was in disbelief. She suspected that she was having auditory hallucinations. As the eldest young miss from the Xia family, no one had ever dared to speak to her this way.

”I said, you’re really noisy.” Miao Anyun’s indifferent face showed impatience for the first time.

On the side, Lin Haoyan had a dazed expression as he watched them start to tear into each other on the spot. Then, as if he suddenly had a reaction, he came out to mediate the situation.

”Everyone is a fellow classmate… ” Lin Haoyan was interrupted before he could finish speaking.

”Who is a fellow classmate with him/her!” ×2

  ”Don’t copy my words!” ×2

”Okay, okay.” Lin Haoyan was a little helpless, but he still held onto his patience. On one side was his best friend. On the other side was the person he liked.

”Anyun, just let it go. Count it as you giving me face?” Lin Haoyan told his best friend. No matter how he said it, Youyou…

”?” Miao Anyun looked at him with a little surprise. His gaze turned complicated and written across his face in big letters were the four words —— Choosing Lovers Over Friends (that is not okay). He was silent for a while. Then, he gestured to the teacher, got up, and left the classroom.

”Hey, you… ” Xia Youyou originally wanted to say something, but Miao Anyun didn’t even look at her and directly left the classroom.

”It’s fine, don’t be angry. Anyun just has this kind of character.” Lin Haoyan looked in the direction Miao Anyun was leaving, subconsciously wanting to chase after him. But when he turned and saw Xia Youyou in front of him, he quickly threw away that strange thought and showed a gentle smile to Xia Youyou.

”Ah, you’re that… that Lin something.” Xia Youyou looked at that familiar and handsome face in surprise, but she couldn’t seem to recall his name even after thinking about it for a long time.

”I’m Lin Haoyan. Beauty, you must remember it this time!” Lin Haoyan gave a somewhat helpless, charming smile. He blinked his amorous peach blossom eyes at her, throwing a captivating glance at Xia Youyou.

It was a pity that the captivating glance was thrown to a blind person. Xia Youyou completely missed his signal and only thought about that guy with a nasty character from just now.

”Ah? Okay,” Xia Youyou responded perfunctorily, a little absent-minded.

The girls below the podium whispered in dissatisfaction. After all, there were many people who liked the two school idols of the school. This new transfer student had only just arrived, but she had already attracted the attention of both. Lin Haoyan was even so gentle towards her.

The boys lamented that another beauty was hooked away by the school idols.

”Okay, okay. Settle down, students.” The teacher who had always been used as the background stood up at this moment to maintain order in the class.

The students below also gave the teacher face and stopped their discussion, quickly becoming quiet. After all, everyone sitting here had a good family background, and as children of big families, they had all received an aristocratic education from when they were children. Their self-control naturally would not be too bad.

”The new student will sit… ” The teacher looked around the classroom and was about to assign Xia Youyou a seat when Lin Haoyan interrupted.

”Teacher, she can sit by me. There happens to be an empty seat next to me.” Lin Haoyan propped his head up with one hand and leaned lazily on his chair.

”In that case, Xia Youyou, you can sit next to Lin Haoyan.” The teacher nodded and agreed to Lin Haoyan’s proposal. Since there was no violation of the rules, the teacher would naturally give face to Young Master Lin.

  ————————

On the other side, the Miao Anyun who had successfully completed his part of the plot was now wandering around the campus. He was not as angry as Lin Haoyan imagined him to be. After all, he had known the direction the plot would go from the beginning.

He glanced at his wristwatch and found that there was still a long time before class ended. Miao Anyun thought for a while and decided to find a quiet place to sleep for a while.

The school was large and the environment was also very good. Miao Anyun followed the memories of the original owner and easily found a quiet and secluded place suitable for sleeping.

Leaning against the tree branch, Miao Anyun closed his eyes with satisfaction and quickly re-entered the land of dreams.

However, Miao Anyun didn’t sleep for long before he was again woken up by a rough voice. Waking up with a frown, Miao Anyun’s mood that had just improved once again deteriorated down to a dangerous degree. Displeased, he looked towards the source of the sound, wanting to know what noise woke him up.

”Chu Yexuan, have you finished thinking about it? Are you going to become our boss’s girlfriend or not?” Pan Pengju was a little impatient. He really didn’t know what his boss saw in this bookworm.

Chu Yexuan couldn’t help but take two steps back. When she discovered that there was nowhere else to retreat, she said timidly, “I don’t like him. I won’t become his girlfriend.” Her voice was small but her tone was very firm. The one she liked, the one she liked had always been that person…

”You! You don’t know how to appreciate kindness!” Upon hearing Chu Yexuan’s words, Pan Pengju became angry. He raised his hand, wanting to hit Chu Yexuan.

”You are really, very noisy.” An icy cold voice rang next to his ears before Pan Pengju discovered that his hand had been grabbed by someone. That white jade-like hand had elegant lines and exuded a delicate aura. He was just about to get angry when he saw the owner of this hand——The cold-faced Miao Anyun standing before him.

Miao Anyun seemed to be in a bad mood at the moment. He looked at Pan Pengju deeply with his obsidian eyes, making his already ice cold face seem even icier. His whole person seemed to carry a sense of oppression, making it hard for people to breathe.

No one dared to get near him at his time. Even the physically strong but simple-minded Pan Pengju wasn’t an exception. In reality, after he gave everyone a demonstration with someone else during the first day of school, no one ever dared to make trouble whenever Miao Anyun was in a bad mood ever again. After all, those people had to lay in bed for a full week.

”Scram.” Miao Anyun let go of Pan Pengju’s hand and coldly spat out a word.

”Yes yes yes, I’ll scram, I’ll scram!” Pan Pengju didn’t dare to be dissatisfied about this. He nodded and bowed to Miao Anyun before gloomily running away. Not to mention him, even the boss he mentioned still couldn’t afford to offend Miao Anyun.

He couldn’t beat him in terms of force, and he couldn’t beat him in terms of family background. Their families couldn’t offend a long-standing, well-known, and influential family like the Miao family. Even though Pan Penju’s mind was simple, he still knew very well that he couldn’t provoke these powerful families and make enemies out of them. After all, this way of thinking was instilled in him by his family since childhood.

Upon seeing that Pan Penju had left, Miao Anyun didn’t even look at Chu Yexuan before turning to leave.

”That… ” Chu Yexuan’s voice was as small as a mosquito. She timidly opened her mouth, wanting to say something to Miao Anyun.

”?” Miao Anyun turned around and gave her a suspicious look.

”That… ” Chu Yexuan stammered. Her little mouth opened and closed, but she couldn’t get out a single word, even after a long time.

Miao Anyun waited for a long time, but only saw Chu Yexuan lower her head without saying anything. He didn’t continue to wait and started to walk away. He didn’t hear Chu Yexuan say a sentence behind him in a small voice, “Thank you, Brother Anyun.”

Chu Yexuan raised her head and revealed a face that looked as cute and pure as a little white rabbit. She stared infatuatedly at his slender back, her cheeks stained with a faint, delicate peach color. Her watery eyes were blurred and her soft cherry-colored lips twitched a few times, as if they were saying something, but no sound came out.

  Brother Anyun, I like you…

  ————————

The Miao Anyun who had already walked far away obviously couldn’t hear the girl’s loving sentiments. He was currently asking 0237 about the female supporting lead. The female supporting lead Chu Yexuan shouldn’t have appeared this early according to the plot.

【…】0237 sank into a deep silence for a while before saying.【Host doesn’t need to worry. The female supporting lead appearing a bit early won’t affect the plot much.】

Since even 0237 had said so, Miao Anyun also stopped thinking about this. Right now, he only wanted to quickly find a place to continue catching up on sleep. After having been woken up from his dreams twice in a row, Miao Anyun expressed that the fact that he hadn’t started to hit people was already very good.

And so, when someone tried to shake him awake, Miao Anyun punched the person without hesitation.

”Ow!” This voice sounded a little familiar? Miao Anyun thought for a bit and decided to open his eyes in the end.

As soon as he opened his eyes, he saw Lin Haoyan’s pained grimace. He completely lacked the personable aura of before.

”Anyun, you hit really hard!” Lin Haoyan bitterly wiped off the blood flowing out of the corner of his mouth. He didn’t even need to look to know that it was swollen. However, he could only swallow the crushed bits of his tooth into his stomach. Who asked him to do this to himself. He clearly knew that his best friend would be moody when he woke up, but he still insisted on shaking him awake.

Miao Anyun didn’t even hold a shred of goodwill towards him and only tossed him a cold glance. He really wanted to know what made Lin Haoyan want to wake him up without hesitation, even at the expense of receiving a punch.

Relying on the tacit understanding developed over the years, Lin Haoyan easily read from Miao Anyun’s eyes the message “If you have something to say, say it. Otherwise, prepare to die.”

”I just wanted to tell you, I like Xia Youyou,” Lin Haoyan quickly said the most important thing he had wanted to inform Miao Anyun about when he had gone to find him previously, afraid that if he was slower by even a second his best friend would start to beat him up.

Then, he found that his best friend’s eyes turned even colder. From that pair of obsidian eyes, Lin Haoyan read the words——”You woke me up just for this?”

Lin Haoyan felt that if he nodded, he definitely would be beaten up by his best friend, but for the sake of his lifelong happiness, he still very bravely nodded his head.

”I see.” Miao Anyun replied coldly. He could see that Lin Haoyan was being very serious when he said this sentence. Since Lin Haoyan had already stated his intentions clearly, according to his character, he couldn’t possibly go after the female lead anymore. One should not covet their friend’s wife. In this way, Mission Two could already be considered a failure.

After all, in a romance novel, the feelings between the male lead and female lead were the most important part of the plot. But now, Lin Haoyan had destroyed the possibility of the male lead and female lead getting together with a single sentence.

It seemed that it really wasn’t easy to bend the plot back on track?

”Huh? Just like this?” Lin Haoyan was stupefied.

”Otherwise?” Miao Anyun rolled his eyes. “Do you need me to beat you up for you to be satisfied?”

”I’ll pass on getting beaten up. The corner of my mouth still hurts.” Though his mouth said so, the smile on Lin Haoyan’s face was brighter than the sun.

However, this smile was matched with the bruise by the corner of his mouth. Adding on his pained grin after being injured, Miao Anyun only felt that he couldn’t look straight at him.

Author’s Note: Thank you for the two little angels “Zi Mu Qing Huan” and “Guess Who I Am”‘s encouragement. I will work hard~ In addition, for this school story, the updates may be slower, but I definitely won’t drop this.

Translator’s Note: FYI- To address all the plot holes (as far as I know- all of this is a summary of the author’s responses to comments on JJWXC):

Also I edited the arc title- it’s now “Indifferent School Idol Pulling Along the School Beauty”… 拽 is such a difficult word to translate… it means both pulling and throwing, depending on context and pronunciation. Gr… But I think… here it’s like when someone pulls your arm and drags you places.

Miao Anyun: Please Knock Before Entering, Thank You

Patient Miao Anyun woke up to find that he wasn’t laying on a hospital bed, but was instead standing in a strange white space, where there was no sound nor any other objects.

This place looked very cold and uninhabited, giving people a very depressing feeling. It made people feel uncomfortable.

【Welcome, host, to the system space. System 0237, at your service.】Just when Miao Anyun was feeling a little at a loss, a somewhat synthesized mechanical electronic voice suddenly resounded in Miao Anyun’s head.

Miao Anyun frowned slightly. He had inexplicably been brought to a strange place. If it had been anyone else, they would’ve already started to question the system. But for some reason, Miao Anyun didn’t do this. He started to think about his situation calmly.

The voice claiming to be System 0237 continued:

【The death of the Host’s body has been detected. The system has automatically brought Host into the system space. Please choose whether or not to bind with System 0237.】

”What happens if I don’t choose to bind with the system?” Upon hearing 0237 tell him about his death, Miao Anyun felt a sense of relief. He had only just arrived in this empty room and hadn’t been there for long, but he couldn’t feel his breathing or heartbeat at all. However, he could still stand.

In fact, it was a miracle that his weak and sickly body could last until today. To pass away peacefully in his sleep was considered a good ending for him.

【If you don’t bind to the system, you will really die. If you do bind to the system, you will become a full-time employee, accepting the missions issued by the system and acting out different roles in various derivative worlds.】

After standing quietly for a while, Miao Anyun closed his eyes and said coldly, “System, I agree to bind to you.” Then, Miao Anyun saw the pop-up option box appear in front of him——Yes or Agree.

Then why ask me whether I want to bind to it… Miao Anyun was a bit speechless.

【Ding! The binding was successful. Congratulations to the host for becoming a full-time employee and obtaining “Novice Guide” ×1】

Miao Anyun felt an extra memory appearing in his head. It was probably the so-called “Novice Guide.” He closed his eyes and silently flipped through it.

The “Novice Guide” was simply a list of the important things to pay attention to when playing a role and included information on a few functions of the system.

【Host will enter the derivative world as the male lead. Complete the mission to receive points. Preparing to enter the world “Indifferent School Idol Pulling Along the School Beauty.”】1

  ————————

Miao Anyun felt the world around him spin. The next time he opened his eyes, he had already appeared on a big bed. He stood up coldly and walked in front of the mirror. He found that his appearance had not changed. His face was still his own face, although he looked much younger. He looked to be around sixteen or seventeen.

The youth in the mirror had soft, short layered black hair2. His obsidian eyes were extremely calm. His facial features were delicate and elegant, with slightly pale skin. His light-colored lips were gently pursed with a cold, indifferent expression. He looked very difficult to approach.

【Mission One: Ensure the survival of the male lead “Miao Anyun.”】

【Mission Two: Bend back the plot.】

【Host only needs to ensure his own survival. There’s no need to force yourself to bend back the plot. Because this is your first world, according to convention, the world will use Host’s original appearance and personality, making it easier for you to enter your role.】0237 expressed that no matter what the plot was like, they didn’t need to force themselves to save it.

【Because this is a novice world, the difficulty is lower. Do you agree to accept the plot of “Indifferent School Idol Pulling Along the School Beauty”?】

Miao Anyun looked at the option box in front of him that still didn’t give him the option to refuse. He calmly selected agree.

【The female lead Xia Youyou is a transfer student at the private aristocratic boarding school the male lead Miao Anyun attended. On the first day of school, Xia Youyou became enemies with Miao Anyun because she disturbed his sleep…

Xia Youyou accidentally discovered that that indifferent school grass Miao Anyun was the little brother3 that she liked the most when she was young. When Xia Youyou thought of the gentle little brother in her memory, her attitude unconsciously softened whenever she confronted Miao Anyun. Due to Xia Youyou’s change, the two people who had originally opposed each other harshly suddenly had an ambiguous atmosphere appear between them.

Since she found that she liked Miao Anyun, the brazen female lead naturally started to chase him. While interacting with Xia Youyou, the indifferent school idol gradually let her into his heart. After experiencing a string of interactions of this and that, the female lead successfully plucked the flower growing on a high mountain peak, Miao Anyun, and the two had a HE4…】

After he finished reading through the plot, Miao Anyun felt a little weak. This was really a very typical school campus romance novel. At least the difficulty would be lower in this kind of story, Miao Anyun comforted himself. He sighed and resigned himself to reading the version of the plot where the male supporting lead counterattacked.

Yes, the plot that he just read was actually the original plot of the world. The current world was the one where the male supporting lead was reborn. The male supporting lead Lin Haoyan, who was deeply affectionate and considerate towards the female lead in the original text, was reborn. This time, he decided to act first, hoping to win the favor of the female lead before his best friend Miao Anyun.

This was indeed an advantage for novices. Miao Anyun closed his eyes and flipped through the plot a few more times. Because this mission took place in a school campus and the reborn supporting male lead was also the best friend of the male lead, the probability of the male lead dying was very small. Mission One could basically be considered completed already.

When he arrived in the world, it happened to be the day that the male lead and the female lead met for the first time. The section of the plot that he had to complete today was just going to school and sleeping. Then, he would be woken up by the female lead. After Miao Anyun made sure he understood the plot thoroughly, he walked to his closet.

Right after he put on his school uniform, Miao Anyun heard someone knocking on his door.

”What’s the matter?” Miao Anyun asked coldly.

”Young Master Anyun, Young Master Haoyun is waiting for you downstairs right now to go to school,” the maid Xiao Li’s voice came in through the door.

”I know,” Miao Anyun replied. He turned around and went to the bathroom, quickly tidying himself up. Then, he went downstairs.

Miao Anyun saw Lin Haoyan next to the dining table. As the deeply affectionate supporting male lead, Lin Haoyan’s appearance was naturally not bad. His angular face was exceedingly handsome. If people weren’t careful enough, they would sink deeply into those captivating, amorous peach blossom eyes. Two buttons on his shirt were randomly unbuttoned. His whole person gave off a indolent and suave feeling.

”Anyun, morning.” Upon seeing him walk over, Lin Haoyan, who was leaning on his chair, greeted him lazily.

”Morning.” His response was a slight nod. Lin Haoyan didn’t feel that this kind of attitude was strange at all. His best friend had always been aloof.

Miao Anyun pulled out a chair and sat down, quietly eating his breakfast. His eating speed was very fast, but he was still very elegant. After finishing breakfast, the two each drove their own car to school.

Miao Anyun actually felt a bit complicated about the issue of a driver’s license. After all, his current body was not yet an adult, but one had to be at least eighteen to take the test for a driver’s license.

In other words, the two of them… were currently driving without a license? But then, Miao Anyun thought again and remembered this was a derivative world of a novel. When it came to novels, if he took things seriously, he would lose out. And so, Miao Anyun ignored this big BUG fairly calmly.

  ……

  Gelasse School

High School Second Year Class A

Lin Haoyan watched the sleeping Miao Anyun who was currently laying on his desk with a complicated expression. In his previous life, the intersection between the two people started when Xia Youyou woke Miao Anyun up from his sleep. If he woke up Miao Anyun, would everything turn out differently? But looking at Miao Anyun, who was sleeping quietly, Lin Haoyan silently moved his eyes away.

The youth laid on the desk, his long eyelashes quietly covering his eyes. Because he fell asleep, his slightly pale cheeks were stained with a faint blush, which softened his original indifferent look and made him look a little more cute. The originally delicate face now seemed even more angelic than before. The image was so beautiful that people couldn’t bear to disrupt it.

At least half of the people in the classroom were focused on him. The teacher at the podium was obviously used to this and was completely unaffected, continuing to teach the class.

Lin Haoyan expressed that he couldn’t bring himself to disturb his friend after looking at that sleeping face. It definitely wasn’t because of the miserable premonition that he would die a certain death after waking him up.

Speaking of this, upon seeing today’s Little Yun, he seemed to feel that his good guy friend had changed a little? As in, he had become a bit more cute? ^_^

Forget it. He’d just let him sleep.

Miao Anyun was actually pretending to sleep in the beginning, but while pretending, he accidentally fell asleep for real. Therefore, he completely missed Lin Haoyan looking at him with a gaze full of complicated meanings.

”Bang!” The door of the classroom was crudely kicked open. A pretty but obviously vulgar girl walked in. This move should have attracted everyone’s attention, but strangely, few people paid attention to her today.

The reason was probably that male Sleeping Beauty Miao Anyun, who was originally sleeping quietly, wore an unhappy, frowning expression due to being woken up forcefully. The temperature of the entire classroom clearly dropped a few degrees due to the low air pressure hurricane surrounding Miao Anyun.

When everyone else (including Lin Haoyan) sensibly lessened their sense of existence in order to avoid Maio Anyun’s obvious wrath, Xia Youyou walked to the podium with a grin.

”Hello classmates, I’m Xia Youyou, a new transfer student.”

As the female lead, Xia Youyou’s appearance was actually pretty good. She had long, soft brown hair and her big, bright eyes blinked playfully. Her pretty face was full of vitality. Her small cherry lips were slightly bent. She looked a little arrogant, but people wouldn’t feel annoyed by it.

At any other time, the boys in the class would have long since started catcalling towards this kind of beauty who had both good family background and looks. After all, girls were originally rare existences in the science classes, and the few girls there were were all hooked away by the two school idols. But now…

They’d seen people who were unafraid of death, but they’d never seen someone who was this unafraid of death. Everyone looked at the Xia Youyou on the podium with an inexplicable look of admiration, and then worked harder to lessen their sense of existence. Didn’t she see Miao Anyun’s eyebrows furrowing almost enough to pinch a fly to death?

Xiao Youyou was a little dazed: ???

Miao Anyun was in a bad mood at the moment. He felt that he now knew why the cold male lead, who had always been indifferent, would become aggressive towards the female lead during their first meeting. Originally, he had thought that it was because the novel said so, but now… after being disturbed from his sleep for no reason, with the perpetrator not intending to apologize at all, he was naturally very angry.

”Did no one teach you to knock before you enter?” Miao Anyun said coldly, the unhappiness in his tone quite obvious.

Author’s Note: Hm? This story has been collected, I’m a little flattered. Thank you to the little angels who have collected the text. The first world is a relatively low-difficulty school campus romance. Yes, it’s that type of vulgar dog blood plot that wants to make people want to run away ten times faster than lightning. It’s my first time writing quick transmigration, if there’s anything wrong, please forgive me.

Translator’s Note: I love QT so~ so~ much! Also, I read through the first arc~ It feels a lot like the first arc for “Those Years We Killed the White Lotus”… A story I have unfortunately not finished reading (I’ve read 2 arcs) because the translated arcs after arc 2 are either paywalled or being released slowly… I will pick it up again when the whole arc 3 is released! Anyway~ I liked that first arc very much- I cried so much! I’m totally into those dog blood and dramatic stories. Anything said/written in a dramatic, heart-wrenching way- tears flow down like a river. Hahaha… So yes, I present “Little Expert Bending Plot Lines Back”! I don’t have an updating schedule for this story… just whenever, I guess~

Footnotes:

[1]: Indifferent School Idol Pulling Along the School Beauty (冷漠校草拽校花, lěng mò xiào cǎo zhuāi xiào huā)- Title of this arc! So school idol (aka school grass (not actually English term) aka school hunk (which I didn’t want to use b/c it feels so… muscle-y, so it’s now “idol!”)) is basically the title given to the most popular, handsomest boy in school, while school beauty (aka school flower, counterpart of school grass) is the title given to the most popular, prettiest girl in school.

[2]: short layered hair (碎发, suì fā)- Pic below. I was going to say “short emo hair” but it felt a little wrong lol. So yeah. I’m no expert on hairstyles though. Layered hair is pretty close, I think!

[3]: little brother (小哥哥, xiǎo gē gē)- Not blood-related brother. Just a boy she’s close to.

[4]: HE- raws had “HE” too. Just means “happy ending.” Like “two people riding off in the sunset, starting a new, happy life.”
